b. Occupation in Demand

The Occupations In-Demand Sub-Category is applicable to skilled workers in SINP who do not have a job offer from an employer in the province but who are highly skilled in an in-demand occupation. • Score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid.
• Have a language score of at least Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4.
• Have completed a post-secondary education level, training, or apprenticeship that’s equivalent to the Canadian education system of at least one year in a period of time. The candidate should have earned a diploma, certificate, or degree during this time.
• Have at least one year of skilled work experience in the last 10 years.
• Have proof of settlement funds and a settlement plan while living in Saskatchewan.

c. Express Entry

The Express Entry Sub-Category of the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program’s International Skilled Worker Category is for skilled workers who are in the applicant’s pool of Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s Express Entry system. a. Skilled Worker With Existing Work Permit

This sub-category is for skilled workers who:

• Have been working in Saskatchewan with a valid work permit for at least six months;

This category is for candidates who want to immigrate to Saskatchewan to buy and run a farm in the province. If the candidates are under 40 years old, they can be considered for nomination under the Young Farmer Stream. Eligibility for this stream is based on available equity, refundable cash deposit, a mandatory visit to Saskatchewan, farm operation knowledge and experience and a practical proposal for a commercial farming opportunity.

The Farm Owner and Operator Category is for foreign nationals who’d like to move to Saskatchewan and who:

• Have proven experience in farming;
• Have considerable capital (money, assets) to invest in a farming operation; and

Who is not Eligible to Apply for Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program?

The following candidates cannot apply for SINP, Canada:

• Refugee claimants in Canada who are claiming refugee status from the Government of Canada.
• Anyone living illegally in their country of residence or in Canada.
• Anyone who has had a removal order issued against them by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or Canada Border Services Agency.
• Those who are prohibited from entering Canada.

You may not be eligible for immigration to Canada if:

• You or any dependent family member do not meet IRCC’s requirements related to health and criminality (even if your dependent is not included in your immigration application).
• You have unresolved custody or child support disputes affecting any member of your family.
• You and/or your representative were not truthful in the application.
• You were unable to prove that you intend to live and work in Saskatchewan.

What to Do After You Apply for SINP?

• After you apply for the program, Saskatchewan Immigration will review your application to make sure it’s complete.
• You will get a letter informing you if your application is not complete. If this happens, you will have to re-apply and submit a new SINP application.
• Complete applications will be continuously reviewed and immigration may ask for more documentation. You will be given a time limit to send this.
• If Saskatchewan Immigration receives the information they asked for, they will continue to process the application. If they do not receive the information, your application will be ineligible.

Temporary Work Permit for International Skilled Worker and Saskatchewan Experience Nominees
